Michael Riches

Michael Riches serves as an assistant coach for the Alabama A&M University softball program, contributing to the development and competitive growth of the Bulldogs within the Southwestern Athletic Conference. In his role, Riches assists with player development, practice organization, and game preparation while supporting the program’s recruiting and scouting efforts. He works closely with student-athletes to refine their technical skills and enhance their understanding of in-game strategy, helping to strengthen both offensive and defensive execution. Riches brings a strong background in mentorship and team development, emphasizing fundamentals, discipline, and accountability. As part of the Alabama A&M coaching staff in Huntsville, he contributes to building a culture centered on continuous improvement and academic achievement. Through daily instruction and collaboration with the head coach and fellow assistants, Riches supports the holistic development of student-athletes and the long-term vision of the Bulldogs softball program.
