Michael Gibbs serves as Tight Ends Coach for University of Southern Mississippi's Football program in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Michael Gibbs was elevated to tight ends coach by Coach Blake Anderson in December 2025, after spending the 2025 campaign with the Golden Eagles as assistant offensive line coach. Gibbs, who is in his second stint with the Golden Eagles, returned to Hattiesburg after spending a season at Coffeyville Community College as Offensive Line Coach/ Run Game Coordinator after spending the previous fall as the offensive coordinator at a high school in Escambia Academy in Alabama. Before that, he served as Senior Offensive Analyst at Utah State University from 2021-2022.
