Michael Fly
General Manager/Assistant Coach
Michael Fly has over 19 years of experience in college and professional basketball, developing a career across roles in video coordination, analytics, assistant coaching, and head coaching. He joined Florida State University in 2025 as General Manager / Assistant Coach for the men’s basketball program. Prior to this, Fly served as Associate Head Coach at Jacksonville University from 2023 to 2025, and before that worked as the Director of Scouting & Analytics at the University of Missouri for the 2022–23 season. Fly spent more than a decade at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), first as an assistant coach for seven years, then as head coach from 2018 to 2022. Under his leadership, the program accumulated nearly 190 wins, captured three Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Tournament titles, made multiple NCAA Tournament appearances (including a Sweet Sixteen run), and earned several postseason berths including NIT and CIT showings.
