Michael Brady
Associate Head Coach
Michael Brady is the Associate Head Coach of the men’s soccer program at Duke University, where he has served for over a decade. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2010 after previously serving as top assistant. In his role at Duke, he has helped develop numerous All-ACC players and award-winners, including the 2011 MAC Hermann Trophy winner and the 2014 ACC Midfielder of the Year. His influence spans the full breadth of the program, contributing to both offensive and defensive success, including years in which Duke posted among its lowest goals-against averages under his leadership.
Before joining Duke, Brady built a strong coaching foundation at American University, where he served as head coach of the women’s soccer team and earned Patriot League Coach of the Year honors in 2007 after leading his squad to a conference title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2002. As a collegiate player at American University, he became one of the most decorated in school history: a three-time All-America, holder of school records in goals, assists and points, and named the 1985 Soccer America Player of the Year. A native of Coventry, England, Brady also represented the United States internationally and later transitioned to successful coaching roles in youth development and school settings before rising to his current collegiate position.
