Megan Shifflett Bachmann has been the head coach of the George Mason University women's volleyball program in Fairfax, Virginia, since July 7, 2022. She is the eighth head coach in program history and has increased the team's win total in each of her first three seasons. In 2024, she led the Patriots to their highest single-season win total since 2010. Her George Mason teams have also produced one All-Atlantic 10 selection and two All-Rookie Team honorees.
Before taking over at George Mason, Shifflett Bachmann spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Towson, where the Tigers reached the NCAA Tournament three straight times from 2019 to 2021 and won three consecutive CAA regular-season titles. She worked closely with defensive specialists and liberos, and Towson became one of the conference's top teams in digs.
