Max Wray joined the University of Connecticut football staff in Storrs, Connecticut, for the 2026 season as assistant coach for the tight ends. He arrived at UConn after three years at Toledo under head coach Jason Candle, serving as assistant offensive line coach in 2025 following two seasons as a graduate assistant.
Wray played offensive line at Ohio State from 2018 to 2020, appearing in 11 games and making a start against Michigan State in 2020. He transferred to Colorado in 2021 as a graduate transfer. A native of Klamath Falls, Oregon, he grew up in Tennessee and was a four-star recruit at Franklin High School. Wray earned his bachelor's degree in communication from Ohio State in 2021.
