Mavreen Hering
Head Coach
Mavreen Hering is in her 11th year as the head softball coach at Stockton University and has established herself as one of the most successful coaches in program history. She owns a 208-159-1 career record at Stockton, with her teams winning at least 22 games in seven of her nine full seasons. In 2025, she reached the 200-win milestone with an 8-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden and guided the Ospreys to a 26-15 record, the program’s highest win total since 2017. Her squads have consistently been competitive in the NJAC, earning multiple top-four tournament seeds and navigating challenging national schedules.
Hering made an immediate impact in her first season in 2016, leading Stockton to a 32-13 record—one win shy of the school record—and earning NJAC Coach of the Year honors. The Ospreys achieved their highest-ever NJAC regular-season finish and entered the NCAA regional rankings for the first time. Prior to Stockton, Hering served as a volunteer assistant at Rowan during a 38-win NCAA Tournament season and spent seven years as head coach at Camden Catholic High School, compiling a 102-44 record with six straight conference titles. A former collegiate player at Rowan, she batted .381 in 2000 and also competed in women’s lacrosse. Hering holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Rowan University.
