Maurice "Moe" Banks has served as chief of staff for Towson University football in Towson, Maryland, since joining the program in 2026 as the first person to hold that position.
Before arriving at Towson, Banks spent five seasons as head coach at Gettysburg College. From 2021 through 2025, Gettysburg produced 12 all-league selections under his leadership, including the school's first first-team all-league running back since 2007 in 2024. He previously coached at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019 as linebackers coach and a special teams assistant, and at Georgetown from 2014 to 2018 as defensive backs coach and special teams assistant, where he was part of staffs that coached nine all-league players and saw the Hoyas record 20 interceptions in 2018.
