Matt Zigulis serves as an Assistant Coach for the Western Washington University men’s soccer program in Bellingham, Washington, contributing his experience as a former Viking player and longtime local coach. In his role with the WWU men’s soccer staff, Zigulis focuses on supporting daily training, player development, and team performance, helping guide student‑athletes both on and off the field as part of the Vikings’ NCAA Division II men’s soccer coaching team.
A Western Washington alumnus and former standout player for the Vikings, Zigulis brings deep ties to the WWU soccer community. During his collegiate playing career, he competed regularly for Western, demonstrating leadership and on‑field versatility — including serving as a team captain — and earning recognition for his contributions in goals and assists. Before transitioning into full‑time coaching, Zigulis also played competitively and was involved in local soccer in the Bellingham area.
