Matt Scott is an assistant men's basketball coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and joined the program in the summer of 2024. He enters his third season on the Stags' staff in 2026-27.
Scott played at Niagara University from 2014 to 2018 under Chris Casey, appearing in 122 games and finishing with 1,726 career points, the seventh-highest total in program history. He was a three-time All-MAAC selection, including second-team honors as a senior, and also earned NABC All-District First Team recognition in 2017-18. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in sports management from Niagara, Scott played professionally for Niners Chemnitz in Germany's ProA League and for the London City Royals in the British Basketball League. He later worked in New York City as a youth basketball coach and physical education teacher.
