Matt Morales is an assistant baseball coach at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he joined the staff before the 2026 season. He works primarily with the Demon Deacons' infielders and also assists with baserunning, recruiting, and hitting instruction after arriving from the Texas Rangers organization.
Before coming to Wake Forest, Morales coached infield, hitting, and baserunning at UAB and Florida State. He also spent several seasons as a professional scout with the Chicago Cubs, evaluating players from the Dominican Summer League to the major leagues.
