Matt Farmer is Stanford men's water polo's Penner Family Assistant Men's Water Polo Coach, joining the program in May 2023. Through his first three seasons, the Cardinal went 56-21 and made back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances in 2024 and 2025.
Farmer came to Stanford after a decorated playing career at UCLA and internationally. He won three NCAA championships with the Bruins, earned All-America and all-conference honors, represented the United States at FINA World Championships, and coached high school and club water polo in the United States and New Zealand.
