Mark Wasikowski is the head baseball coach at the University of Oregon and has established the Ducks as one of the strongest programs on the West Coast and in the Big Ten. Since taking over in 2019, he has led Oregon to a sustained run of postseason success, including five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances after the shortened 2020 season, multiple regional titles, and a super regional appearance. In 2025, Wasikowski was named Big Ten Coach of the Year after guiding Oregon to its first regular-season conference championship in more than 50 years. His teams have become known for explosive offense, player development, and consistency, and Oregon has repeatedly rewritten its record book during his tenure.
Wasikowski brought to Eugene an extensive résumé built across nearly three decades in college baseball. Before returning to Oregon as head coach, he was the head coach at Purdue and previously served as an assistant at Oregon, Arizona, Florida, and Southeast Missouri State. Across those stops, he helped develop dozens of MLB draft picks and future major leaguers while building a reputation as a strong recruiter and teacher of the game. As a player, Wasikowski was a two-time All-West Coast Conference selection at Pepperdine and captained the 1992 team that won the College World Series. His blend of playing pedigree, recruiting success, and program-building experience has made him one of the most respected head coaches in college baseball.
