Mark Few has served as the head coach of Gonzaga University men’s basketball since 1999, building one of the most successful and consistent programs in NCAA Division I history. After a decade as an assistant at Gonzaga, Few took over the program and quickly elevated it into a national powerhouse. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs have captured more than 20 West Coast Conference regular-season titles and 20 conference tournament championships, while maintaining one of the highest winning percentages in college basketball history. Few has guided Gonzaga to multiple Final Four appearances, including national championship game runs in 2017 and 2021, along with numerous Elite Eight and Sweet 16 berths. His teams are known for high-powered offenses, efficient play, and sustained excellence, including decades of 20-win seasons and consistent NCAA Tournament appearances.
Beyond team success, Few has developed a long list of elite players, including All-Americans and NBA talent such as Domantas Sabonis, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Suggs. He has earned numerous national coaching honors, including Naismith National Coach of the Year and the John R. Wooden Legends of Coaching Award. In addition to his collegiate achievements, Few has contributed to USA Basketball as both a head and assistant coach, earning a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. Off the court, he is deeply involved in philanthropy, particularly through cancer-related initiatives in the Spokane community, helping raise millions of dollars for patient support and research. Few’s impact extends beyond wins and championships, as he has shaped Gonzaga into a model program defined by integrity, development, and national prominence.
