Marissa Rizzi is an assistant coach for the St. John's University softball program in Queens, New York, and she entered her fifth season on the staff in 2026. She returned to St. John's as a student assistant coach in the fall after the end of her playing career and has remained with the program in a full-time assistant role.
In 2025, Rizzi was part of a staff that led the Red Storm to a program-record 39 wins and earned BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year honors alongside head coach Michelle DePolo and assistant coach Sean Crowell. Her connection to the program began as a player, and she was one of the most productive hitters in school history. A first baseman, she became the first St. John's softball student-athlete to hit above .400 in more than one season, batting .403 in 2019 and .402 in 2021.
