Mario Sequeira Quesada has served as an assistant coach for the Virginia Commonwealth University women's soccer program in Richmond, Virginia, since May 2025.
A VCU alumnus and former goalkeeper for the Rams' men's soccer team, Sequeira returned to his alma mater after previously working at the university as assistant director of equipment and operations. Before joining the women's staff, he coached with the Richmond Goalkeeping Academy through 2024 and became its lead goalkeeping coach in February 2023, contributing to training and curriculum development for young players. He also added international experience during an apprenticeship with CD Malilla in Valencia, Spain, where he worked as a goalkeeping and assistant coach.
