Marcus Fermon is the Head Coach of the Bellevue College men’s basketball program, entering his third year in the role after more than a decade of service within the program. A Bellevue College alumnus, Fermon previously spent 12 seasons as an assistant coach, including eight years as the lead assistant. In that capacity, he played a central role in the program’s sustained success, contributing extensively to scouting, game preparation, defensive strategy, player development, and recruiting. His deep understanding of the program and commitment to its culture made him a natural choice to lead the Bulldogs.
Fermon’s connection to Bellevue College dates back to his playing days, where he competed under then-head coach Jeremy Eggers. As a starter on the 2007 team, he helped lead the Bulldogs to an impressive 28–4 record and an appearance in the NWAC Championship game. Following his playing career, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Washington University in 2009. Born in San Francisco, California, and raised in Washington, Fermon attended Bothell High School. He is a dedicated family man, living with his wife Kaitlin and their three children, and remains deeply invested in both the athletic and personal development of his student-athletes.
