Arroyo's background includes brings two decades of coaching experience to the Valley, most recently leading the Rebels from 2020-22 and serving as the offensive coordinator at Oregon for several seasons prior to that – a post that would later be held by Dillingham; many of those players would go on to pace the Rebels to a 9-3 record in 2023 and an appearance in the Mountain West Championship Game; behind his play-calling, the Ducks won the 2019 Pac-12 Conference Championship and then defeated Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl, which marked the eighth bowl game of Arroyo's career and capped off a 12-2 season.
