Mandy Jordan
Assistant Coach
Mandy Jordan serves as an assistant coach for the UAB softball program, bringing both collegiate coaching and high-level playing experience to the Blazers’ staff. She most recently worked as an assistant coach at Division II powerhouse Southern Arkansas, where she helped guide the Muleriders to three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. In 2023, Southern Arkansas advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals, pushing Central Oklahoma to a decisive three-game series. Her experience contributing to a nationally competitive program has strengthened UAB’s pitching development and overall staff expertise.
Prior to Southern Arkansas, Jordan spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Auburn University, further refining her coaching foundation within an SEC program. As a student-athlete at Lipscomb University, Jordan was a standout pitcher from 2016-19, compiling 595.2 innings pitched with 611 strikeouts across 109 appearances. She finished her collegiate career with a 2.33 ERA and 59 wins, earning ASUN All-Second Team honors as a sophomore after a 23-11 season with 261 strikeouts. Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree in fitness and sports studies from Lipscomb in 2019 and completed her master’s degree in physical education at Auburn in 2021.
