Maggie Chizmar has served as an assistant coach for Virginia Commonwealth University women's lacrosse in Richmond, Virginia, since August 2021. She joined VCU after two seasons as an assistant coach at Babson College, where she was part of a staff that led the program to the 2021 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference championship and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. At Babson, she also coached Georgia Salvatore to IWLCA Third Team All-America recognition, while four players earned first-team All-NEWMAC honors. In 2019, Babson won a second straight NEWMAC regular-season title and recorded its first victory over a nationally ranked opponent in nearly 10 years.
Before Babson, Chizmar spent more than a decade with Northeast Maryland Select Lacrosse Club, serving as a head coach beginning in 2005 and coaching more than 38 players who went on to compete in college. Her background also includes work with Coppermine Lacrosse Club, three seasons as a varsity girls assistant coach at the John Carroll School, and a volunteer assistant coaching stint at Johns Hopkins in 2009.
