Luke Loucks
Head Coach
Luke Loucks, a two-time NBA champion and former Florida State Seminole player, was named the head coach of Florida State’s men’s basketball team on March 9, 2025. Florida State UniversityPrior to returning to Tallahassee, Loucks accumulated coaching experience in the NBA, including stints with the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings. He is known for his strengths in on-court instruction and player development, having worked with numerous high-profile NBA players and being part of multiple championship teams. As a student-athlete at FSU from 2008 to 2012, Loucks helped lead the Seminoles to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances and was part of their first ACC Tournament championship in 2012. After his collegiate playing career, he played professionally overseas and then transitioned into coaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management (2011) and a master’s in sport management (2012) from FSU. Off the court, Loucks is married to Stevi (a former FSU swimmer), and they have three children.
