Luke Gore
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Luke Gore joined the Princeton men’s basketball staff in 2023 and quickly made an impact as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, bringing with him two decades of Division I experience and a track record of sustained success. In his first season with the Tigers (2023–24), Gore helped guide Princeton to an outright Ivy League championship, a 24–5 overall record, and a berth in the NIT. That season, Princeton earned national recognition with extended runs in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll, reflecting the program’s consistency and national profile.
Prior to Princeton, Gore spent 20 seasons at Valparaiso University, where he served as both assistant coach and associate head coach. During his tenure, Valparaiso won multiple conference championships, made several NCAA Tournament and NIT appearances, and posted some of the most successful seasons in program history, including a school-record 30 wins in 2016. Known for his defensive acumen and player development, Gore helped mentor two future NBA players—Ryan Broekhoff and Alec Peters—along with numerous professional players and All-Americans. As a recruiter, he built nationally ranked classes and developed an extensive international recruiting network. A Bethel College graduate with a master’s degree from Valparaiso, Gore is respected for his basketball knowledge, recruiting expertise, and commitment to developing players both on and off the court.
