Luc Godin joined the University of Washington as Associate Head Coach in the summer of 2024, bringing 15 years of collegiate coaching experience and a history of turning programs into national contenders. In his first season on Head Coach Rahim Esmail’s staff, Godin helped the Huskies achieve a 17-9 record, reach the Big Ten Championship semifinals, advance to the NCAA Championships, and finish ranked No. 37 nationally—their highest since 2013. Senior Cesar Bouchelaghem became the first Husky since 2013 to win a round at the NCAA Singles Championship under Godin’s guidance.
A native of Petit-Rocher, New Brunswick, Canada, Godin was a nationally ranked junior player and competed in professional and semi-professional tournaments before turning to coaching. He has led both men’s and women’s programs, including three seasons as Head Coach at the University of Louisiana, six seasons as a women’s assistant in the SEC (Auburn and Arkansas), and previous head coaching roles at Northwestern State University and Drury University. Highlights include an NJCAA National Championship at Tyler Junior College and coaching multiple All-Sun Belt and ITA All-American players.
