He serves as the primary coach on vault and co-coach on uneven bars.
The 2010, 2020 and 2024 National Assistant Coach of the Year along with fellow OU associate head coach Tom Haley, Ball has aided OU to 12 top-three finishes at the NCAA Championships (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2025), including Oklahoma's first-ever NCAA championship effort in 2014 and second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh title runs in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2023 and 2025. The Sooners also notched NCAA runner-up finishes in 2010, 2013, 2018 and 2021. Ball has been named Region Assistant Coach of the Year nine times in his career and has helped OU to 15 conference championships and 15 straight NCAA Regional titles. OU has garnered 90 All-America honors on bars and vault under Ball's leadership, including four of the last seven individual national vault champions, Olivia Trautman (2023), Anastasia Webb (2021), Maggie Nichols (2019) and Brenna Dowell (2018).
