Lorenda Holston serves as Assistant Director of SOUL Mission for University of Oklahoma's Football program in Norman, Oklahoma. Lorenda joined Sooner Athletics in July 2025 as the Assistant Director for S.O.U.L Mission. In this role she serves to support and advocate for the holistic development of student-athletes, enhance the overall experience for students, and serve as a liaison to parents & families.
An accomplished advocate, connector, and administrator with 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in Higher & Intercollegiate Athletics. In her previous role, she served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Access, Opportunity, & Diversity at the University of Iowa developing transformational experiences for over 400 student-athletes and 200 staff members, assessing departmental policy to ensure its alignment with institutional guidelines, accrediting body, and state legislation and facilitating interactive & engaging team workshops and department-wide trainings that aim to assist participants in developing skills including but not limited to perspective taking, active listening, reflection, critical thinking, and self awareness. She has also held roles at Purdue University, where she served as the Student-Athlete Development Associate and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), serving as an Academic Support Coordinator for Men's Football student-athletes. While completing her master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher, she served the Colorado State University’s Athletic department as the Graduate Assistant for Diversity & Inclusion creating programs that foster community, fellowship, and spark courageous conversations.
