Lisa Stoia is the senior associate head coach for West Virginia University women's soccer in Morgantown, West Virginia, and the 2025 season marked her 20th year on the Mountaineers' staff at her alma mater. Over two decades with the program, she has been part of West Virginia's rise into a consistent national contender, contributing to conference championships in the Big 12 and Big East, 14 straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2007 through 2020, and the program's run to the 2016 NCAA College Cup final.
West Virginia continued to post strong results in the most recent seasons under Stoia's watch. In 2025, the Mountaineers finished 14-3-4, went unbeaten in Big 12 play at 8-0-3, earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the program's 24th all-time appearance. The team also produced a 15-match unbeaten streak, and the attack featured three players with at least six goals, a first for WVU since 2018. Five players received All-Big 12 recognition, Taylor White earned first-team honors and later was named a United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American before signing with Racing Louisville FC in the NWSL.
