Linda Costello is the associate head coach for the University of Maine men's and women's swimming and diving program in Orono, Maine. A UMaine alumna, she joined the coaching staff in 2015 and was promoted to associate head coach in August 2025. By 2025-26, she was in her 11th season on the Black Bears' staff.
Costello graduated summa cum laude from Maine in 2012 with a degree in Secondary Education: English and completed a master's degree in literacy in 2024. As a student-athlete, she served as a team captain, earned four scholar-athlete honors, and competed in IM, backstroke, and distance events. Since joining the staff, she has been part of a program stretch that produced 58 individual school records and 32 relay records.
