Lilli Falconer Deering is the head coach of the University of Rhode Island women's swimming and diving program in Kingston, Rhode Island, entering the 2026-27 season as the leader of her alma mater. She joined the Rhode Island staff full time after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2015-16, became associate head coach in August 2019, was elevated to interim head coach following the 2020-21 season, and was appointed head coach on a permanent basis in March 2022.
Under Deering, Rhode Island posted its best Atlantic 10 Championship finish in a decade in 2025-26, placing seventh with 234 points, the program's highest total in 12 seasons. That team produced individual medals from Molly Beckwith in the 200-yard freestyle, Olivia Winslow in the 3-meter dive, and Logan Norrid in the 200-yard breaststroke, giving URI its first individual conference medals in seven seasons. Before taking over the program, she was part of a staff that helped Rhode Island open one season with seven straight dual-meet victories and finish 9-2, the winningest season in school history.
