Liesa Seifert is an assistant coach for the West Virginia University women's soccer program in Morgantown, West Virginia, and is entering her third season on the staff. After serving as a graduate assistant at WVU from 2020 to 2023, she returned to the Mountaineers in 2024 and works with daily training and match preparation, with an emphasis on the defensive unit.
In 2025, Seifert was part of a West Virginia team that returned to the NCAA Tournament, earned a second straight at-large berth, and hosted a first-round match for the first time since 2022. The Mountaineers finished 14-3-4 overall and went 8-0-3 in Big 12 play for the program's first unbeaten conference season since 2016. West Virginia recorded 11 shutouts that year, including five in league play, and regularly limited opponents' chances, with 12 teams held to three shots on goal or fewer. Five players earned All-Big 12 recognition, including defender Nyema Ingleton, who also received United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region honors.
