Lia LaPrise is an assistant coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst women's lacrosse team in Amherst, Massachusetts, and is set to enter her fourth season on the staff in 2027 after joining the program in July 2023. She serves as the assistant offensive coordinator and also works with the goalkeepers. Since her arrival, UMass has won three regular-season conference titles, captured two conference tournament championships, and reached the NCAA Tournament twice.
Her work has coincided with some of the program's strongest recent results. In 2026, Massachusetts went 16-3, won all nine of its MAC games, and finished the season ranked No. 23 in the final IWLCA poll, No. 25 in the KANE Women's DI Media Poll, and No. 25 in the final NCAA RPI. That season, UMass led the nation in points and assists per game and ranked second in scoring offense. Kassidy Morris closed her career as the school's all-time leader in goals and second in points, setting a single-season program record with 104 points, while Dylan Lyons, Ava Connaughton, and Katie Peterson also posted 50-point seasons. Goalkeeper Bayley Duffy ranked fourth nationally in goals-against average and eighth in save percentage, and UMass finished fifth in the country in team save percentage.
