Laura Field is the head women's lacrosse coach at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where the 2026 season marks her 11th year leading the program. She was appointed head coach at the start of the 2016 campaign after previously serving seven seasons as an assistant at Fairfield.
Field has directed the most successful period in program history. Entering 2026, Fairfield has reached the NCAA postseason in seven straight seasons, won six MAAC Championships, and earned an at-large NCAA bid in 2024, the first such selection for both Fairfield and the MAAC in women's lacrosse. That 2024 team also achieved the program's first national ranking in 15 seasons, rising to No. 22 and finishing 16-3, with the first two wins over IWLCA nationally ranked opponents in school history against UConn and UAlbany. During her tenure, the Stags have posted a 118-56 overall record and a 63-13 mark in MAAC regular-season play, along with six MAAC regular-season titles. Her six MAAC tournament championships match the conference record for a women's lacrosse head coach. She was named MAAC Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
