Latrell Scott is the wide receivers coach for the University of Maryland football program in College Park, Maryland, and 2026 marks his fourth season on the Terrapins' staff. After coaching Maryland's running backs in 2023 and 2024, he shifted to wide receivers in 2025.
Scott arrived at Maryland with more than two decades of college coaching experience and previous head coaching tenures at Richmond, Virginia State, and Norfolk State. Before joining the Terrapins, he spent two seasons at East Carolina as passing game coordinator while also working with tight ends and inside receivers. At Maryland, he coached a running back group led by All-Big Ten selection Roman Hemby, who totaled 1,287 rushing yards, 622 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns across Scott's first two seasons on staff. In 2025, Maryland's passing game averaged 255.7 yards per contest, ranking fourth in the Big Ten and 35th nationally, while three receivers topped 40 catches and 500 receiving yards. Shaleak Knotts posted 717 receiving yards, and Jalil Farooq finished with 58 receptions.
