Kyle Hofstaedter
Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Kyle Hofstaedter was hired in June 2025 as the head men’s lacrosse coach at the University of Mary Washington (UMW), becoming the university’s next leader for the program. He arrives from Neumann University where he served as the head men’s lacrosse coach in 2024. Prior to that, Hofstaedter held assistant coaching roles at several institutions including Rollins College (where he helped the program reach its first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance) and coached at the high school level in Florida and at other collegiate programs.
Hofstaedter played collegiate lacrosse at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and has earned academic honors such as placement on the MAAC Athletic Honor Roll. His hiring at UMW reflects the university’s plans to elevate its men’s lacrosse program competitively and develop student-athletes athletically, academically and personally.
