Kyle Helf serves as Assistant Track and Field Coach Throws for University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Track and Field/Cross Country program in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kyle Helf enters his tenth season as the Charlotte Track and Field throws coach. Helf, who served as the throws coach for the Niners from 2012-2019, re-joined the program in September 2024, after a brief stint coaching across town at Queens University.
Helf’s return season was marked with much success and was led by Sarah Pullium, who set a school record in the women’s discus (54.50m) en-route to becoming Conference Champion in the event. Pullium was also the 49ers' high scorer of the outdoor championship, scoring 20 points to help lead Charlotte to the American Women’s Team Championship. The throwers put together 17 all-time top ten performances, 6 conference medalists and qualified the most throwers in school history, five, to the NCAA East Preliminary.
