Kyle Findlay
Associate Head Coach
Kyle Findlay joined the UAB men’s soccer staff in January 2024 and currently serves as Associate Head Coach under head coach David Lilly. He followed Lilly from East Tennessee State, where the pair helped revitalize the Buccaneers program. During their two seasons at ETSU, the team compiled a 17-11-6 overall record, finished second in the Southern Conference in 2022, and captured the SoCon title in 2023. Over that stretch, ETSU posted the league’s best conference record (7-1-2), led the conference in goals per game, and ranked first in goals against average. The Buccaneers’ 0.755 GAA in 2023 ranked 10th nationally, reflecting Findlay’s impact on both attacking and defensive organization.
Prior to ETSU, Findlay spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Milligan University, contributing to a 42-26-3 overall record and back-to-back NAIA National Tournament appearances. The program achieved a No. 9 national ranking in 2021 and set school records in wins, goals, assists, and shutouts. His coaching experience spans three continents, including roles with Chicago Fire, Fulham FC’s Development Center, The Cove FC in Australia, and the Tri-Cities Otters of USL League Two. A native of Reading, England, Findlay played collegiately at Bluefield College and holds a U.S. Soccer B License along with a master’s degree in Sport Science & Coach Education from ETSU.
