Kyle Bonicki
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Kyle Bonicki is an assistant baseball coach at Princeton University, where he began his tenure with the Tigers ahead of the 2023–24 season. In his role, Bonicki brings a strong background in offensive development, recruiting, and player evaluation, shaped by both collegiate coaching and professional playing experience. He joined Princeton after four successful seasons at Amherst College, where he was a key contributor to one of the most productive offensive stretches in the NESCAC. During the 2023 season, Amherst led the conference in nearly every major offensive category, including batting average, hits, runs, on-base percentage, and extra-base hits, while also ranking last in strikeouts, reflecting a disciplined and efficient approach at the plate.
Over his time at Amherst, Bonicki helped develop nine All-NESCAC players, including Daniel Qin, the 2021 NESCAC Player of the Year, and five D3Baseball.com All-New England honorees. He played an instrumental role in constructing three consecutive Perfect Game Division III Top-10 recruiting classes, two of which were ranked No. 1 nationally. The Mammoths captured the 2021 NESCAC Tournament title, earning the coaching staff Conference Staff of the Year honors. Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Bonicki played two seasons of professional baseball at the independent level and was a standout shortstop at Clark University, where he became the program’s first All-American and the 2017 Division III New England Player of the Year. He holds both a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from Clark, adding academic depth to his player development and recruiting approach at Princeton.
