Kristi Huizenga is the head women's soccer coach at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, a position she has held since November 10, 2010. A Colchester, Vermont, native, she entered the 2025 season with 15 years leading the Catamounts and ranked second in program history with 86 career wins. Her honors include induction into the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame in 2024, NEWISA NCAA Division I Head Coach of the Year in 2021, and America East Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021.
Under Huizenga, Vermont has produced some of the strongest results in program history. The Catamounts reached the America East playoffs three times in a four-year span through 2024, and in 2024 they made another postseason appearance while placing seven players on the all-conference teams. Vermont's attack led the conference in scoring and topped 30 goals for the second straight season. In 2023, UVM advanced to the America East semifinals after a quarterfinal win at New Hampshire, and several Catamounts earned league honors, including first-team selections for Kate Bossert and Bailey Ayer. Bossert also made the all-academic team and later became just the second player in program history to earn United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America recognition.
