Kristen Skiera
Head Coach, Virginia Tech Women’s Lacrosse
Kristen Skiera began her tenure at Virginia Tech as Head Coach in 2021 and by 2025 had completed her fourth season leading the Hokies. Under her guidance, the program has achieved several landmark victories, including an upset over No. 11 Syracuse and multiple ranked wins at home and on the road. In 2025, Skiera’s squad notched three ACC wins and earned a berth in the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship, while standout players such as Lauren Render and Mia Pozzi earned All-Conference and All-Region honors. During her Army tenure, she led the team to multiple winning seasons, produced numerous All-Patriot League performers, and established many program records. Earlier in her coaching career, she served as an assistant at Duke (her alma mater), Navy, and UC Davis. As a collegiate player, she starred at Duke University, earning two All-America distinctions, becoming the school’s all-time leader in assists, and ranking second in total points.
