Klaire Mitchell joined the Gonzaga University women’s volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2025, bringing an accomplished playing background and strong regional ties to the program. A native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Mitchell returns to the Pacific Northwest after a standout collegiate career at Grand Canyon University. As a setter, she was one of the most decorated players in program history, earning three Western Athletic Conference Setter of the Year honors along with multiple All-WAC selections. Her leadership and consistency helped elevate Grand Canyon’s competitive profile, while her record-setting assist totals showcased her ability to orchestrate high-level offensive systems.
Following her playing career, Mitchell began her coaching journey at the club level, serving as an assistant coach with Renovators Volleyball Club in Spokane. In her role at Gonzaga, she contributes to player development, particularly with setters, while assisting with team operations and training. Her firsthand experience as an elite collegiate setter provides valuable insight for developing offensive strategies and mentoring student-athletes. With a strong connection to the region and a proven track record of success as a player, Mitchell adds energy and technical expertise to Gonzaga’s volleyball staff as the program continues to build within the West Coast Conference.
