Kevin Willard is the William B. Finneran Endowed Head Men's Basketball Coach at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, where he led the Wildcats back to the NCAA Tournament in his first season in 2025-26. Villanova won 24 games that year, the most by a first-year head coach in program history. With that appearance, Willard became a head coach who has taken three different programs, Seton Hall, Maryland, and Villanova, to the NCAA Tournament, reaching the event eight times overall.
Willard was hired by Villanova in March 2025 after three seasons as head coach at Maryland. He guided the Terrapins to 65 wins and two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run and 27 victories in 2024-25. He was named the NABC East District Coach of the Year that season. In his first year at Maryland in 2022-23, he led the program to a 22-13 record, a Top 25 ranking, and an NCAA Tournament second-round appearance.
