Head Coach
Kevin Michael O’Sullivan (born December 27, 1968, in Goshen, New York) is the long‐tenured head coach of the Florida Gators baseball program. A former catcher in his playing days at Florida Community College in Jacksonville and then at the University of Virginia, O’Sullivan earned his bachelor’s in Education/Sports Medicine from Virginia in 1991 and later a master’s in Exercise Science & Wellness from Florida Atlantic University. Before taking the reins at Florida in 2008, he spent several years as an assistant coach at Florida Community College, Florida Atlantic, Virginia, the Minnesota Twins’ Rookie League team, and Clemson (as pitching coach / recruiting coordinator / associate head coach).
Since becoming Florida’s head coach, O’Sullivan has built one of the most consistent powerhouses in college baseball. Under his leadership the Gators won their first national championship in 2017, made nine College World Series appearances, have six SEC regular season titles, and a very strong SEC winning percentage. As of 2025, he has compiled a career record at Florida of 756-371 (.671 overall; .599 in SEC play). His teams have made 17 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, a streak that ranks among the best nationally.
