Kevin Mulvey is the head baseball coach at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and enters his 11th season in that position in 2027. The 11th full-time head coach in the program's more than 150-year history, he was appointed on July 14, 2016, after four seasons as Villanova's pitching coach. Through the end of the 2026 season, his record as head coach stood at 158-286-1 overall and 53-114 in BIG EAST play.
Mulvey has overseen a program that has paired on-field progress with strong academic results and community engagement. Villanova placed a program-record 33 student-athletes on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 academic year, and 219 players earned that recognition during his tenure through the end of the source period. In 2017, Todd Czinege was named to the Philadelphia Big 5 All-Academic Team, and both Czinege and Hunter Schryver were among 10 national finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Mulvey also launched the program's Baseball Service Weekend in his first season as head coach, and the team has made recurring visits to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and taken part in other athletic department service efforts. Another initiative under his leadership is the Villanova Baseball First Pitch Dinner, which brings together current players, alumni, and supporters before the season.
