Langan, who is entering his 14th season as Charlotte's head coach in 2025, previously served as the Niners' Associate Head Coach from 2009 to 2011. In 2025, the 14th season under the leadership of Langan, Charlotte captured its first regular-season conference title in the American era and the program's first since 2016 with a conference record of 5-1-2. The Niners finished the season with an overall record of 8-4-4 and earned an impressive 11 postseason conference honors, the most in program history, and two NCAA All-East Region selections.
