Kevin Jones
Assistant Coach
Kevin Jones joined the Jacksonville State men’s basketball staff and completed his first season with the Gamecocks in 2024-25, helping guide the program to a 23-win campaign, a Conference USA Championship Game appearance, and the school’s first National Invitation Tournament victory with a win over Georgia Tech. His contributions supported one of the most successful seasons in the Division I era, as Jacksonville State continued to establish itself as a contender in Conference USA.
Prior to arriving in Jacksonville, Jones was part of the coaching staff at Wagner College, where he helped lead the Seahawks to the 2024 Northeast Conference Championship and just the second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. Wagner secured its first NCAA Tournament win with a First Four victory over Howard. Jones previously served as an assistant at Morgan State, contributing to a MEAC Championship Game appearance and coaching multiple all-conference and all-defensive selections. His coaching background also includes roles at Radford University, Norfolk State, Coppin State, and St. Frances High School, along with experience in AAU basketball. A Baltimore, Maryland native, Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Bowie State University in 2011.
