Kevin Bednoski
Assistant Coach
Kevin Bednoski is an assistant softball coach at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he joined the Tritons’ coaching staff in the summer of 2025. At Eckerd, he works with the softball program under Head Coach Michelle Frew, contributing his experience in leadership, strategy, and player development as the team competes in NCAA Division II athletics within the Sunshine State Conference. His role focuses on helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field, enhancing team performance and competitive culture.
Before coming to Eckerd, Bednoski spent nine years as the head softball coach at Riverside High School in Leesburg, Virginia, where he built a highly successful program. During his tenure, Riverside achieved its first-ever Virginia Class 5 State Championship in 2024 and compiled a strong overall record with numerous postseason and district titles. Under his leadership, many players earned individual accolades including Washington Post All-Met and All-State honors.
In addition to his high school coaching accomplishments, Bednoski has been deeply involved in youth and club softball. He serves as Associate Head Coach for the 18U Virginia Glory National team, working with high-level prospects alongside NFCA Hall of Famer Suzy Willemssen and helping players prepare for collegiate competition. He is also active in the fastpitch community through roles with SixFour3, a national network of indoor training facilities dedicated to female softball athletes. His multi-level experience reflects a strong commitment to athlete development, competitive excellence, and softball education.
