Kenny Payne serves as Associate Head Coach for University of Arkansas's Men's Basketball program in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A former Louisville Cardinal basketball great and first round NBA selection, Payne spent two seasons (2022-24) as head coach at his alma mater.
He has additionally served as an assistant coach with the NBA’s New York Knicks as well as spending 15 years on staffs with both the University of Oregon and the University of Kentucky. In his first year at Arkansas, Payne helped the Razorbacks reach the NCAA Sweet 16. In addition to his individual player development, Payne works with the bigs. By season’s end, Jonas Aidoo and Trevon Brazile were one of the top two 1-2 punches in the post while Zvonimir Ivisic ranked second in the SEC/21st in the NCAA in blocked shots.
