Kenneth Blake
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Kenneth “Kenny” Blake joined the Queens University of Charlotte women’s basketball staff in June 2024 as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, marking the beginning of his second season with the Royals in 2024–25. In his role, he also serves as lead scout coordinator, coaches guard and forward positions, and acts as an academic mentor to student-athletes. Before arriving at Queens, Blake spent a season at Defiance College, where he led player development programming, took on lead recruiting across multiple states, and supported the school’s transition from Division III to NAIA.
Before his tenure at Defiance, Blake spent six years as lead assistant coach at Anne Arundel Community College, where he played a significant role in elevating the program’s profile. Under his guidance, the team earned a NJCAA District G Championship and made a national championship appearance in 2019. During his time there, he helped develop All-American and All-Maryland selections, as well as multiple NJCAA All-Academic selections. Southern Maryland native Blake has also held roles such as basketball sports coordinator (I-9 Sports), technical director (Assist Basketball Network), Jr. NBA coach for Washington Wizards/Washington Mystics, and high school varsity coach and athletic director at Lanham Christian School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Liberty University and is completing a master’s in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
