Ken Masuhr
Head Coach
Ken Masuhr is the Head Coach of the University of Miami women’s soccer program, entering his second season leading the Hurricanes in 2025. He was officially named the sixth head coach in program history on December 5, 2024, bringing nearly two decades of collegiate coaching experience to Coral Gables. Masuhr has guided Miami through a transitional period, building a competitive culture and improving defensive performance while fostering individual player success. In his first season, the team compiled a 5–8–4 overall record, showing notable home performances at Cobb Stadium and producing significant individual honors such as ACC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week recognitions by his student-athletes.
Before joining Miami, Masuhr spent nine seasons at Vanderbilt University, including six as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, where he helped the Commodores achieve five NCAA Tournament berths, an SEC regular-season title in 2018, an SEC East Division championship in 2019, and an SEC Tournament championship in 2020. His defensive emphasis helped Vanderbilt post some of the strongest back lines in the Southeastern Conference while also recruiting and developing players who advanced to the professional ranks. Masuhr’s coaching journey includes assistant roles at the University of Pennsylvania, Monmouth University, Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham, and Kean University, illustrating a deep commitment to tactical development, recruiting excellence, and player growth throughout collegiate soccer. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Richard Stockton University and a master’s degree from Kean University, and is certified with an “A” license from the United States Soccer Federation and the Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
