Assistant Softball Coach
Kelsey Goodwin serves as an Assistant Softball Coach at Morgan State University, where she works alongside Head Coach Melisa Shock in the continued development of the Bears’ softball program. In her role, Goodwin contributes to on-field instruction, player development, recruiting, and daily operations, helping student-athletes grow competitively while maintaining strong academic standards. She is known for her attention to detail and her ability to connect with players, providing both technical instruction and mentorship within a team-oriented environment.
Goodwin brings a background rooted in competitive softball and collegiate athletics, with experience that allows her to support multiple areas of the program, including skill development, practice planning, and game preparation. Her approach emphasizes fundamentals, consistency, and accountability, aligning with Morgan State’s broader goals of building a sustainable and competitive softball culture. As part of the Bears’ coaching staff, Goodwin plays an important role in fostering a positive student-athlete experience and supporting the program’s long-term growth within the MEAC and at the Division I level.
