Kellie Catanach Johnson was promoted to Associate Head Coach of the Duke University women’s volleyball program in May 2022, after having joined the staff in June 2019. A former standout at Duke (2008-11), Catanach was a four-year letterwinner, three-time All-American and four-time All-ACC selection. As a junior in 2010, she was named ACC Player of the Year, becoming the seventh Duke player to earn that honor. She ended her collegiate career ranked ninth in ACC all-time assists, was the third Blue Devil ever to post 1,000 assists in all four seasons, and served as team captain her final two years. After graduating, she served as Director of Educational Services at Florida State University, where she also earned her MS in Sport Management in 2015. Now back at Duke in a coaching and administrative leadership capacity, she draws on her elite playing background and academic/administrative experience to shape the program moving forward.
